Hey thanks for posting the photos.. definitely some good ones...we'll give credit when we use them.....
We told Tom & Ryan that we are definitely interested in playing more shows in your area so hopefully we will get back to the Sisters-Bend area this fall...
Hey Barb,
I'm glad you liked the show...the guys had a great time....and the after-party was great too.....s
Those are some great shots of Ty & the guys....and I agree that Hank's dad (Bill) did a great job filling in for Jim...Jim said all the tests came back negative so hopefully everything will be good for him. We told him about everyone at the festival sending him good thoughts and he definitely appreciated it
Hey Barbara,
We got the mix last night from the studio...Ty is making notes on the things he wants done...bring up the volume on the harmonies on one song, lower the volume of the guitar on another etc....we are hoping to have it all done in time for the Central Or Blues Fest....see you in a couple of weeks!
Hey Barbara,
It's been awhile since we checked in here at the COBS site...lots going on...the guys have been in the studio working on the next cd Jason Carter at Wavelength Studios will start mixing next week!
Also,we are going to play at the Central Oregon Blues Festival in Sisters on Saturday July 5th from 8:30-10pm...I don't know if you are involved with that festival, but it would be good to get to meet some of you and any of the other COBS crew!
Don't feel bad Barb, The jam nite cenario is fun, for me I take it in small doses. It use to be 2-3 nite as week 5 years ago. Know its a hit and miss situation, When it turned from being a stress relief to being something other than fun thats when I have to cut back and keep it to every now and then, sometimes up to 6 months with out a visit. Blues is a attitude and a soulful emotion that any true player knows that comes from within,I'm always presant in spirit.
Your personal page is awesome! Hope your steering committee is making progress; I think you guys are going about it the right way. I will let Kevin know the website which might be the easiest way for him to find information. I am wrapping things up here and will head out for Memphis on Saturday. Thanks
Hi I think you did leave me a comment but I kept having a message come up about script slowing my system down and it had to be deleted. Anyway, you are welcome. It was so fun and I felt not real prepared. I wish you guys the best and heopefuly I can get you some members since my Bro and his wife live in Redmond and love Blues Music. I have a friend his name is Kevin Selfe he is a musiciain who moved to Portland from Virigina. He want to find out places he can play in Bend and believe me he is some guitar player. Should I just give him the website address? Thanks Marc
Barbara,
I am currently helping out the agents for Sean Carney and Delta Highway trying to find venues in the Oregon area, from July until October. Can you give me the contact information and locations of any venue in your area that may consider hiring national touring acts?
Sean of course was the IBC winner in 2007. Delta Highway is one of the hottest acts playing out of the South at this time and just performed last week at the Phoenix Blues Blast where they outsold every other musician in CD sales 10 to 1, pretty impressive when you consider other acts were Walter Trout, Eden Brent, Deanna Bogart and Harper.
Please let me know. Thanks.
Greg
Glad to help you get your blues society 'ducks in a row' ... thanks for stopping by and the good news.
Let me know if I can be of any further aide.
Cheers,
Hawkeye

Then the Joseph fest is a must. I telling you it is a class act.
We went two fests ago. Our daughter Olivia was about 4 months old. The trip, about 8 hours, was very hard on her, and in turn hard on us. We decided not to go last August. This year I will go, perhaps in a chartered bus. Here is the site: http://www.bronzebluesbrews.com/
I'll be there at Grover's around 6:30 on Mar. 16th.
You know there was a thing I was trying to get going in my community of Culver. I was trying to get a Blues/day event going. I went before the Mayor, and then the business community. They told me they were excited and would get back to me, but didn't. I'ts an Ag community, I was trying to bring some culture and business into it.
Have you ever gone over to Joseph for there Bronze, Blues, and Brews Festival? I was in contact with Chuck Garrett, I think he is the president for the thing, for awhile in an attempt to pick his brain on what it would take to put one together in Culver, that is before I got the cold shoulder. I would still like to do one but go around those who poo pooed the idea.
They do an amazing job in Joseph, and if you ever get the chance, or if this is something COBS is interested in, it would be a good idea to go over there and watch and learn.

Had a great time at northside. I'm hoping to get back in the groove again. I felt a little intimidated alot of really good harp players. I just need to get my nerve back. I trying to get some copys of those pictures that we took at Reds in Clarksdale which I will post. I also hope to get out to Grovers Monday night. Will catch you guys later. I'll also give you guys a heads up to come over and maybe do a little messing around on the harp. I'm still trying to get moved into the new place. I've had stuff scattered everywhere.

Hey Barbara, Glad you like the tune. It is a tribute to Roy Buchannan. Roy was a huge influence to my style in my younger days. While everyone else was groovin on Hendrix I was groovin on Roy. I just installed a "Lightscribe drive in my PC so I can make an official looking CD to send to Steve. Checking out "the sounding board thread now. Thanks for everything by the way. Will do my best to be there on the 16th.
Hey Barb,
We have been meaning to get some video up on a couple of our stes...thanks for posting that one...if you google for videos of the band there is a great one from the Corvallis Fall Festival with a local homeless guy dancing in front of the stage....I
Take care!

Thanks for the feedback on the new songs. I have put some of them on my profile here for free downloads so people on this board don't have to pay for them like on the other sites like MySpace, CD Baby and iTunes that sell my music.
