The press release for Embrace Of Warmth for March 15th has been sent out today. I have posted it in my My Space Blog area...will post info later. Will tell you I have Delmark Goldfarb - the creator of the Waterfront Blues Festival coming to perform at the event. I have Brandon May of the non profit org End Poverty taking a three day train ride out here from Indiana. Delmark and his band and Brandon will be staying at my house. The event is until 7pm although today I contacted Tyrone in the hopes of adding on more time.

This is to BoogieKing Steve, and to the masses on board here,
Just a little clarification here folks with regard to the collection of photos I have posted here.
Although a huge amount of pics are done by me, a lot are done by our own - Lane County's Blues phototog - DJ "BoogieKing" Steve Spoulos. Over the years BKS has attended countless concerts and taken some of the best photos around...he does this for a hobby...and actually is very good and must give himSELF more praise than he does. It was my oversight not to immediately post...giving credit where credit is due. Now, if only I had the time to go through my hundreds of photos that I have received, or taken, over the years to remember whooooo took what photos. I do know that I have one disk that Steve graciously gave me once upon a time, I believe of the first MEMA event of pics he took and if/when I find it I will go through that disk, and the photos posted here, and will individually give credit to the phototog...there are quite a few.
"Thank you Steve for continuing to take a very good collection of photos that you share with the masses."

Happy New Year one and all...we're still in Portland....let snow land on our tongues yesterday. Off to show today, and planning to get together with some musicians tomorrow to talk about a future Embrace Of Warmth blanket drive and concert...it is all coming together very nicely.

BluesINhugs to all,
Christine

It's impossible to accept something that was not necessary. Your kind post and prayers are more than enough. I am constantly amazed at the warmth and understanding that comes from (some) lists such as these. I rerally do cherish the friends I have 0n-line...and now you're one of them!
Thanks again

Good day Lady Jules, be it not a most glorious day that we bide the tyme this holiday season by partaking of the grog, the mead, and a handsome bloke that doth ride mightly on his steed across the shire to me.
well that might get personal...hahah!
I have doned the Shakespeare regalia since 1972 and will admit that o'er the years I have mellowed tremendously.
Like you, I do take on the challenge, and too often get to have a gutteral laugh, of freakazoiding (that is not a Shakepearan word) the people "from another planet" that do not understand the talk of back then. The language of our yesterdays is sure more creative that the "ain't" and "huh's" and "yo" of today. I don't even respond to people who say HUH now, so what if they cannot learn how to speak.

I bid you goodday...Anon
Christine

okay, now I be off to make pumpkin/cream cheese pie...oh my.

Hey Christine!
Love that you do the Shakespeare gig :-)
I will sometimes pull shakespeare quotes out of my head when I talk with people ...I love the way it freaks them out- some know where it came from and others think I just dropped to Earth from some planet. LOL It is fun to mess with the second group of people.
Most of my most used quotes are from Hamlet...for some reason I just remember those best.

Huzzah, Christine! Damn that kid of yours is tall. Thanks a bunch for joining COBS ... and feel free to upload photos, videos, comments, and blog to your heart's content ... I'm sure you'll be a valuable asset to our group, as you have had experience with the Rainy Day Blues Society in Eugene, and are involved in many uplifting community efforts in your area.

Welcome !

Barb
