I thought I had an impending job offer from a company that would have provided me with 2 things I really need right now...a steady income and stable daytime hours. Well, after going thru the recruiting process for 10 days, they passed on me. I'm a bit bummed and am really tired of my current work situation...it's close to intolerable for me because of the spotty work, ridiculous shift changes (days, swings, nights whenever the need arises) and constant staff turnover. Neither Sleet Nor Snow...

...nor menacing winds kept the Thursday night blues jam at the Northside Bar & Grill from happening last night. It was a fun night and a couple guys I work with got to see me play. They didn't stay long, but enjoyed themselves a lot. So did I.

A real treat for me was the chance to hear Robert (don't know his last name) playing my guitar thru my amp. He's a great player and it was nice hearing him coax some sweet singing tones from my rig. Strat, 3 pedals and the amazing Laney amp.

Sick of Being Sick!

Just wanting to feel NORMAL again. This is Friday and I've been pretty ill since Tuesday. I am feeling a little better, but am really sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Will kick off the Front Porch Acoustic Jam & Open Mic at Grover's this Sunday, January 20, 2008. Am I a Blues Player?

I've wondered for a long time if I am a blues player. In the past I played in straight country bands, country-rock bands and classic rock bands. Always played a few blues tunes here and there.
