- About Me:
- A Blues music lover of way back when, I play piano but not as much or as good as I used to. I have a teen son who is a musician,plays four instruments,will graduate from high school in June 08. I have been a single Mum from the getgo, am now (I made it) 55, and a more to love kinda gal. I have two current degrees/I'm a drug addicts counselor, currently looking for a new job (in the field). I also coproduce music events and film them, along with photography. As you can see from the photo my son and I are also into doing Shakespeare. And living where we do in the state of Oregon, with our four pets, we escape the husslebussel of the insane big cities. I have just created this past month the Embrace of Warmth Blanket Drive...soon to be processed as a 501c3 called THE BOLD (BOLD = Blanket Of Love Distributors).I post updates in my My Space in the Bulletin section and my blog. Hey Barb, if I send you in regular email the more bolder flyer for the above event, that actually has the proper address of 199 -8th St in downtown Eugene (not not not 7th), would it be possible to put it in the website (please remove that thin printed old one)?
I have filed "Embrace Of Warmth" as a 501c3 (non-profit) organization. Expecting that darlin' "official" piece o' paper from the State by this Friday.

EMBRACE OF WARMTH blanket drive and live concert on March 15th 2008 Sat.,3 to 6pm at Cozmic.
Hey, my fellow Blue-sers (and folksters, and rockers, and jazzers), The last three weeks I have been putting together blankets and musicians, secured the venue and so far two confirmed sets, another is definite maybe/spoke with one of the lead men in the group yesterday, and one set is left to fill. I need volunteers to help post flyers, of which my son Taylor and I are trying to figure out the art program that our dear friend - you know whooooo u r - loaned us. As you will see from the post

Just a little clarification here folks with regard to the collection of photos I have posted here.
Although a huge amount of pics are done by me, a lot are done by our own - Lane County's Blues phototog - DJ "BoogieKing" Steve Spoulos. Over the years BKS has attended countless concerts and taken some of the best photos around...he does this for a hobby...and actually is very good and must give himSELF more praise than he does. It was my oversight not to immediately post...giving credit where credit is due. Now, if only I had the time to go through my hundreds of photos that I have received, or taken, over the years to remember whooooo took what photos. I do know that I have one disk that Steve graciously gave me once upon a time, I believe of the first MEMA event of pics he took and if/when I find it I will go through that disk, and the photos posted here, and will individually give credit to the phototog...there are quite a few.

Happy New Year one and all...we're still in Portland....let snow land on our tongues yesterday. Off to show today, and planning to get together with some musicians tomorrow to talk about a future Embrace Of Warmth blanket drive and concert...it is all coming together very nicely.
