Thanks Woman! It's kind of a little gospel number! :) Glad to see that COBS is going strong! Hey do you know if Ronnie Smith is doing ok? Haven't heard from him in a bit...

I have a myspace and so does Cliff, but we have not started one for COBS. One thing you can do is to add a badge to your myspace page that says I'm a member of COBS" and even have embedded photos or videos on your myspace page. That option is on the Main page also. Do you know how to copy and paste? I believe you have to copy the code from here and then go to myspace to add it to your profile information, if I recall correctly.
The snip I heard of "Done Love Wrong" is Bodacious, Cee Cee ... I swear you are channeling Janis on that one! I just sent an inquiry email to the address on this page for ordering the four new tracks.
I should mention that TUF was great, but that does not take anything away from the other finalists. This was an exceptional year for the IBC, just about every act I saw was amazing. The runner-up, Shakura S'aida from Toronto was an outstanding entertainer with unbelievable singing abilities and her guitarist was also first-rate. Third place went to Lil' Ray Neal Blues Band, Kenny's older brother, who gave most likely the most traditional set of the finals. I had ten great acts in the venue I coordinate every year on Thursday and Friday nights, including the CBA's entry Franco & The Stingers. Alice Stuart also did an outstanding representation for us. One of the best IBC events by far!!
Well since the CD will be done by late Spring, I've been sending out paks to Festivals including one to Peter. Last year he was working to get me to the Waterfront and it didn't work out due to musician issues - but maybe this year!
As well, there are some things possibly cooking in Corvallis as far as their festivals, and I know Bend wants to get me back down there....
So I think this year sometime.
Thanks for asking and thanks for sharing the story on the kids winnings.. that is very special.
It sure is good to hear from you. Yes, I was at the IBC finals. In fact, I was working in the photo pit directly in front of the stage. Trampled Under Foot was by far the best act on stage at The Orpheum that day. I have superb photos of all the finalists in the band competition and a number of the solo/duo finals, too. The Schnebelen Family are outstanding, not to mention some of the nicest kids you could ever hope to meet. Nick won the award for most impressive guitarist, formerly the Albert King Award and received it on stage from two good friends Sean Carney and Jon Richardson. All three of the kids broke out in tears when they were presented the 1st place prize. Peter Dammann has already sent an offer for them to perform at the Waterfront.
So, when are we going to see you back our way again???
