Marcia Ball, Shemeka Copeland, and Betty Lavette were at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall over last weekend. I attended Saturday nite. The hall is an old theater and is very beautiful. The music was three hours of great blues. Marcia Ball began with Lousiana flavored blues and rompin' piano. Betty Lavette was my favorite, as she is so passionate with her singing and performing. Shemeka was energized and soulful. She did one duet with Marcia at the end of her set. I was impressed by both the singing and the hall. The only downfall was the theater seating for someone with long legs!
