KPOV Jam/ Summerfest opportunity
Hello, Blues folks! I actually joined this page, not primarily because I'm a musician (though I play banjo and harmonica), but because I wanted to invite you all to come jam with us on June 28.
For those that don't know, 106.7, KPOV is Bend's only community radio station, all-volunteer-powered. We're turning three years old this month and I'm throwing a big party which involves a contra dance and an open jam with some of Bend's prominent musicians, as well as closet ones.
I'd love a blues jam there! All musicians are invited and anybody who would like to play on the air for exposure on June 28 should let me know ASAP so I can schedule you. Email me with questions at emulsification@kpov.org.
I also am scheduling the locals-only stage at SummerFest and have some slots open, so if groups or individuals would like to get on stage July 12 or 13, let me know, send me a sample, or drop some music by the station (501 NW Bond St., behind the Boys and Girls Club) with my name on it.
