Just something to think about....I know how disheartening it can be watching someone we love decline in health and stature but we still need to figure out a way to get Ronnie to a jam once a month or so. I have just a very small car so I can't move his equipment. I know there has to be someone who can help out. I am trying to get his health care needs handled but I fear that without music in his life that, well,it only makes his conditions worse. I don't know much about his biological family, but I do know that we are the closest thing to a family as he's got and he needs us no matter how scary or frustrating.....He's so ill, in a lot of pain, lonely & scared & needs the music now more than ever. Please, just think how you would feel in the same situation & try to think of your own loved ones in your own family and what you want for them. My experience has been that a little compassion can go a long, long way. Maybe one jam during a month's time??...Again, just something to think about...Thanks & God Bless...xoxoxo PS: If nothing else, try to check on him & prayer is always a good idea!! Ultimately we have to look out for each other-Have a great day!!

Where is he? I am willing to try and help him in whatever way I can. My phone is 322-9845. Call me. Ronnie is way too cool to "wither on the vine". This is a noble cause - I salute you Tammy!!!!

Well I'm a long way from Bend and my truck is old and slow. I'll help if I can. If anything I can help carry. Really glad to see your thoughts on this matter. Thank you so much Tammy. My prayers have been going Ronnie's way for some time now. Everybody please keep them coming.

Ronnie's number is 420-4412 & he lives at the Quimby Street Apartments. There is a board at the entrance that has his name and his apartment number on it. Thank you for caring and responding so quickly! Every little bit of compassion makes a difference in this world, especially in the life of someone that we love and respect and who has brought so many gifts to this world. Sorry it took so long and thank you guys for your hearts and your help!

Barbara and I went to his pad Thursday to take him to Northside. He was trying to eat some Jello and was crying out in pain. In a little while he told us to leave - he seems a quite out of it mentally and not the same Ronnie Smith I met three years ago.
I went back there later that evening and there was no change. Still didn't want anyone around. Maybe it was a bad day or perhaps he is to the point that he can't go and play any more. Not being a medically oriented person - I can't say.
Sad!!!

If thats the case then that must so depressing to him. To not be able to play, and perhaps his future prospects would make anybody angry. Pain, unmanageable and chronic pain is also a bad mother. I just wish I had some kind of magic button to make it all go away. We all miss you Ronnie. Lets just all pray for recovery.
